Imaging metrics of musculoskeletal health, disease, and regeneration

We develop new imaging methods (MRI, PET, CT) to determine the processes underlying the progression of musculoskeletal disease. This involves in vivo measurements of composition, biomechanics, fluid transport, and metabolism.

Principal determinants of musculoskeletal health

We use machine learning and computer vision to mine public datasets and electronic health record data to determine how personal attributes impact musculoskeletal health.

Computational musculoskeletal pathology

We use computer vision to computationally process images of musculoskeletal tissue generated by a microscope in applications ranging from degenerative disease to cancer.
